JUMP WITH JILL LIVE TOUR PRESENTED BY MEIJER ROCKS MIDWEST SCHOOLS

Produce for Kids raises funds to bring nutrition education program to local schools

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – August 23, 2017 – The world’s only rock & roll nutrition show Jump with Jill is poised to rock schools across the Midwest this fall thanks to the efforts of the Produce for Kids campaign hosted by Meijer. In the spring of 2017, participating produce suppliers raised enough funds to provide Jump with Jill at no cost to 25 schools this fall in the following areas:

  • Indianapolis, IN – August 23 – 31, 2017
  • Milwaukee, WI – September 5 – 8, 2017
  • Detroit, MI – September 12 – 15, 2017
  • Lansing, MI – September 19 – 22, 2017

“Our partnership with Produce for Kids allows us to better educate our customers about the importance of making healthy food choices,” Meijer Healthy Living Advisor Melissa Hehmann said. “We’re extending the reach of Meijer Health and Wellness initiatives by supporting Jump with Jill and its mission to educate kids about good nutrition.”

Created by a Registered Dietitian and musician, Jump with Jill approaches nutrition education with catchy songs and upbeat dance moves to engage kids on the subject of health. Students leave the assembly empowered to eat better. Mejier offers a gorgeous and affordable selection of fruits and vegetables. Produce for Kids provides easy, fun and inspiring recipes that feature Meijer produce. The produce suppliers making this tour possible are Dole, Earthbound Farm, Green Giant, Grower Direct, HMC Farms & SunWest Fruit Company, Honeybear Brands, Marzetti, RealSweet Vidalia Onions, SUNSET and Well-Pict Berries.
